The Weeping Willow Pub in Suffolk will be hosting a Floral Spring Lunch on the 8th March 2018 with its proprietor, world-renowned female floristry entrepreneur and author, Paula Pryke OBE. The event is being held to celebrate the arrival of spring, as well as to coincide with International Women’s Day. Costing £125 per person, this truly would make a fantastic gift or day out for the leading lady in your life, be it your mum, sister or best friend
The first event of its kind held by the country pub, guests will enjoy a lively demonstration by Paula of 15 of Paula’s classic designs followed by a workshop where each attendee will make a beautiful floral hand tied bouquet to take home and enjoy. Following this informative and inspirational morning, guests will have time mingle and enjoy prosecco and canapés in the bar of The Weeping Willow and then sit down to enjoy a two course lunch with wine. This is a unique and rare opportunity to spend time with Paula and some of her team, learn some new skills, enjoy a delicious lunch with a special person in your life and take home your very own floral creation.
This year Paula celebrates 30 years of working commercially with flowers and you can learn more about her business at PaulaPryke.com She has published 18 books on flower design which have been translated into over 15 languages making her one of the most famous floral designers in the world.
In 2016 Paula and her husband, Architect Peter Romaniuk purchased The Weeping Willow, it is a beautiful and bold venue in the heart of a Suffolk village, Barrow near Bury St Edmunds. Every detail has been considered within the look and feel of the venue, the restaurant has even been specially designed so that there is not a bad seat in the house.
Passionate about ensuring that the end result was a unique blend of modern and historical aspects, the couple wanted to create a relaxing environment that serves fine dining inspired locally sourced dishes. The end result is a traditional local meets modern dining, with modern vibrant interiors, pulled together and arranged by Paula herself.
Not only was Paula involved with the look and feel inside the pub, but she also set herself the task of redeveloping the extensive gardens at the rear of the inn. Guests to this event can take a walk outside the restaurant’s doors and discover a wild flower garden, which will bloom into its own this summer, filled with herbaceous beds.
The Floral Spring Lunch is a one-off event, taking place on the 8th March, spaces are limited and cost £125 per person for a floral demonstration and workshop with Paula Pryke, Canapes and Prosecco and a two course lunch with wine.
