Spacious, comfortable and made for easy stays in Suffolk. Our Good Lodges sleep up to four, with a king-size bed and sofa bed, plus plenty of space to settle in and make yourself at home. They’re dog-friendly too, so four-legged guests can come along for the adventure.

This summer, save 10% on our Bed and Breakfast rate. This is a pre-pay, bed and breakfast rate that is available up to 7 days in advance of your stay. So, pack your bags and set off to explore the area, before a night away in one of our cosy rooms and breakfast the following morning. While this is a non-refundable, pre-pay rate, we do offer the opportunity to make one date transfer if your plans change.

Muddy Paws – Available on stays from 1st October. An overnight stay designed for guests with dogs, including dinner and breakfast for two, plus a comfy dog bed, towel, treats and a sausage breakfast to set tails wagging.

Explore Bury St Edmunds and its shops, markets and historic streets, pull on your boots for a walk through the Suffolk countryside or take the long way around the surrounding villages. However you spend the day, good food and your lodge in the meadow are waiting when you get back.
We’ve worked with Connock England to create Verdant, a scent inspired by the countryside around us. Fresh and green, it blends blackcurrant, English rose and fig with citrus and gentle woods. You’ll find it throughout our rooms, and it’s available to buy on their website if you’d like to take a piece of us home with you.

Yes, furry friends are welcome in all areas of our pub; however, please let us know so that we can accommodate them. They are also welcome to stay the night in the majority of our rooms at an extra charge of £25.
